Hey everyone!

So I wanted to put a post out on the blog to let everyone know about the GREAT places to eat in Augusta. I found a post from Food Network that gave their top 10 recommendations for restaurants in Augusta, so I wanted to include the ones that really make the top of the list.

1. Craft and Vine

Located in downtown Augusta, this craft cocktail den and restaurant serves amazing small and shared plates. They are very well known for their wood fired pizza with the options varying by season. You could also get pretzel bites with pimento cheese fondue and house made pork rinds dusted with Aleppo pepper...talk great southern comfort food!

2. Abel Brown

Half oyster bar half country kitchen, Abel Browns offers a varying amount of delicious food. First things first, OYSTERS...their oysters are served on the half shell or can be broiled with roasted jalapeño-lime butter. They also have a classic Anson Hills Johnny Cake to satisfy those southern cravings you might have!

3. Southbound Smokehouse

If you are looking for some barbecue this is definitely the place to come. There are wings, smoked barbecue pork, and house made sauces. The smoked barbecue pork can be served with just about anything, tacos, nachos, sliders and more. If you want to get a taste of everything on the menu, definitely order The Godfather!

4. The Boll Weevil Cafe

If you have a sweet tooth you will definitely have to try this place. The Boll Weevil has definitely built up its reputation for having the best sweets in town! There is a wonderful assortment of layer cakes, cheesecakes, and pies that all taste heavenly. A favorite is the Red Velvet Delight that has a white chocolate cheesecake sandwiched in between two moist red velvet cakes.

5. Frog Hollow Tavern

There is so much goodness in this menu as an upscale downtown restaurant. A farm to table restaurant that has ingredients coming from even Chef Sean Wight's farm! A great choice would be to take a bite into the smoked gouda mac n' cheese. This lasagna style mac n' cheese has a savory custard, thin onion slices, and smoked gouda that is baked until it is a golden brown. But don't forget about the rest of the menu, especially seasonal specials...if pork chop is an option you must try it!

Hope your taste buds enjoy!!
